Terms of Use

Last updated

These terms apply when you use Halfline on your iPhone and Apple Watch. By using the app you agree to them. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

A tool, not the official record

Halfline helps you keep time and record incidents. You remain responsible for your decisions on the field and for the accuracy of any report you submit to a league, association or assessor. Check a report before you send it.

Always carry a backup

Watches run out of battery, get knocked and restart. Carry a second timing device and a notebook, as you would without the app.

Laws and misconduct codes

The misconduct codes in the app are provided for convenience and may not match the current wording of your association. The Laws of the Game are published by IFAB. Halfline is not affiliated with or endorsed by IFAB, FIFA, US Soccer, The FA, any assignment platform, or Apple.

Your licence

You may use Halfline on devices you own or control to officiate and to keep records of your own matches, including matches you are paid to officiate. You may not copy, resell or reverse engineer the app, or use it in a way that breaks the law.

Your data

What you record is yours. How the app handles it is described in the Privacy Policy. Because your data lives on your devices, keeping a backup of your iPhone is your responsibility.

Changes to the app

We may add, change or remove features, including features described as planned. We may update these terms; the current version is always in the app with its date.

Disclaimer

Halfline is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from its use, including a lost or incomplete match record.
