FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can't find your answer? Write to us from the support page.
Do I need my phone during a match?
No. The watch runs the whole match on its own and sends everything to your phone the next time they're together.
What if I record the wrong incident?
Tap Undo on the watch. It cancels the latest incident without erasing the history, and the score and cards are worked out again.
Does the clock stop when the screen goes dark?
No. The match keeps running with the screen off or your wrist down.
Which misconduct codes does Halfline use?
You choose the code set: US Soccer (USSF) codes, the wording of the IFAB Laws of the Game, or the England FA's caution and send-off codes. Cards can be shown to players and to team officials.
Where is my data kept?
On your iPhone and Apple Watch only. Halfline has no account and no servers holding your matches. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Do my fixtures appear on the watch automatically?
Matches kicking off in the next 48 hours are sent to the watch, up to ten at a time. Open the iPhone app with your watch nearby to send them.
Does Halfline work with Assignr?
Yes. Connect your Assignr account in the iPhone app and your assignments are imported as matches, ready to send to your watch.
What do I need to use Halfline?
An iPhone running iOS 16.4 or later and an Apple Watch running watchOS 10 or later. Halfline is not available for Android or other smartwatches.
When can I download Halfline?
Halfline is coming soon to the App Store. This page will link to it on launch day.
