Halfline has no account and no servers that receive your matches. What you record stays on your iPhone and Apple Watch, and leaves them only when you choose to share it.
What the app stores
- Your profile — the name, email, referee ID, association, grade and country you enter under Account.
- Matches — teams, competition, venue, kickoff, format, notes, tags and any match fee you enter.
- Match incidents — goals, cards, substitutions and the clock, recorded on the watch.
- Location — your position during a match, recorded by the watch to draw your heatmap and measure distance. It is not recorded outside a match.
- Health — heart rate and the match workout, through Apple Health on your watch.
- Assignr sign-in — if you connect Assignr, its sign-in tokens, kept in the iPhone Keychain, and the assignments it imports as matches.
All of it is stored on your devices. The watch sends match data to your iPhone directly, through Apple's watch connection; it does not pass through us.
Apple Health
Health data is used only to record and show your matches. It is never used for advertising, never sold and never shared with anyone. You can review or withdraw access at any time in the Health app.
What leaves your device
- Reports you share. When you export a match, you choose where it goes through the iOS share sheet.
- Emails you send us from Help & Support, with the app version and iOS version filled in. We use them only to reply.
- App update checks. The app asks Expo's update service (expo.dev) whether a newer version exists. The request carries the app version, the platform and a random installation identifier — no match, profile, location or health data.
- Assignr, if you connect it. Signing in goes through Halfline's sign-in service, which passes your sign-in tokens between Assignr and your iPhone and keeps nothing. Your assignments then download from Assignr directly to your iPhone. Disconnecting removes the tokens from your iPhone. Payment statements are read to mark paid matches; only which matches were paid is kept.
Halfline contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking. We do not sell or rent personal data.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays until you delete it. Deleting a match removes it from your phone. Deleting Halfline from your iPhone or Apple Watch removes everything the app stored on that device. Workouts saved to Apple Health are managed in the Health app.
Children
Halfline is made for match officials and is not directed at children under 13.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data. Because we do not hold your data on our servers, you can do all of this in the app. For anything else, contact us.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date. If a change affects how your data leaves your device, the app will tell you before it takes effect.
